Hello everyone, it’s Jude here from Citaapi Mahtii, coming to you from the AMA Spring Gathering—a powerful event where Indigenous voices, ideas, and leadership come together.
Justine joined Aboriginal Management Agency (AMA) just over a year ago and has been a vital part of the Citaapi Mahtii team. She’s Swampy Cree Métis, originally from Treaty 1 territory (Winnipeg, Manitoba), and brings a strong blend of operational experience and a deep commitment to Indigenous community well-being.
“I’ve been working closely with Jude,” Justine shared. “My role focuses on overseeing operations and helping build bridges between BC Housing and AMA. It’s all about working together to create strong, healthy communities.”
At Citaapi Mahtii, our mission goes far beyond housing. We’re here to support our community in Port Alberni—building relationships, advocating for wellness, and creating safe, culturally grounded spaces for people to thrive. We are proud to represent and support the Port Alberni Community Action Team, and we work alongside the Alberni Clayoquot Health Network (ACHN) to ensure community voices are heard and needs are met.
We believe that community building and partnership are essential to keeping people connected and healthy. It’s these relationships that form the heart of our work, and we’re deeply grateful for leaders like Justine who are helping guide the way.
We’re on the move, people—and this is only the beginning. There’s more to come, so stay tuned, and as always: Klecko, Klecko!
