A Gift of Gratitude and an Invitation to Gather

A tenant’s gift of a Thunderbird carving and the upcoming March 2 AGM and community dinner reflect the growing spirit of connection at Citaapi Mahtii.

Today, we received a meaningful gift from one of our tenants — a hand-carved Thunderbird for the office.

The carving was presented as a gesture of appreciation, and we are deeply grateful for the kindness and care behind it. The Thunderbird carries powerful cultural significance, representing strength, protection, and connection. Having it placed in our office is more than decoration; it is a reminder of the relationships being built within these walls.

As our building continues to grow — now home to elders, singles, and families — moments like this reflect the sense of belonging that is taking root here. Community is not only about shared space, but about shared respect, generosity, and pride in where we live.

Annual General Meeting – March 2

Citaapi Mahtii’s Annual General Meeting will take place on March 2 at 3:00 PM.

Following the meeting, we will host a dinner in the Gathering Space. This will be an opportunity for tenants to meet the Board and connect with their fellow neighbours in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

An official invitation will be emailed to tenants by March 2, providing full details.

We look forward to coming together to reflect on the progress we’ve made and to continue strengthening the community we are building.
